We have grouped the various species that form the basis of the Mediterranean garden. Many of them originate in the Mediterranean and were already used in the villas of ancient Rome; others, such as oleanders and pitosforo were introduced, but now can be considered our own. The oleander is an evergreen that blooms from July to September with a wide choice of colors in bloom from the classic pink to red, yellow, white. Some old varieties have been recovered from historical gardens. Its cultivation is easy and it survives well in our arid summers.
