Radaia

Radaia I.G.T.

This wine is made with merlot grapes in thir pure state; it is the first “cru” of the Tenuta La Parrina. Its name comes from “radura”, which means clearing , a foothill area just before the woods at 35 mt above the sea level. This vineyard covers 2 hectares and it’s one of the Parrina’s oldest. Meticulous work in the vineyard, plus and ideal terrain and microclimate, give it a flavor well balanced in its vegetative and productive aspects, exalting the particular characteristics of this variety in a very special way. The grapes are harvested by hand , and once in the wine cellar, they are further selected and then subjected to a cold pre-fermentation stage, followed by fermentation in steel vats at a controlled temperature . The wine is then aged for at least 14 months in wood barrels.
